Owner/ Dentist
Dr. Jay McMurray is the owner and one of the dentists at McMurray Dentistry. Dr. McMurray grew up in Laurens County and after graduating from Clinton High School, attended Clemson University receiving a B.S. in Pre- Professional Health.
After graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1999, he then attended advanced training in general dentistry at Palmetto Richland Hospital in Columbia before taking the position of Director of Dental Service at the Columbia Oral Health Center. Dr. McMurray and his family moved back home to Laurens after 5 years in Columbia, when he opened McMurray Dentistry in June of 2004.
Dr. McMurray has been married to his lovely and wonderful wife, Marnie, since 1997. They have three wonderful children, Wiggins, Jennie Margaret, and Davidson. They live on the outskirts of Laurens and enjoy attending church at Friendship Baptist in Gray Court. When not involved with work or church activities, Dr. McMurray and his family enjoy playing disc golf, fishing, boating, or traveling to visit family.

McMurray Dentistry has been our Dentist since moving to Laurens in 2020. Dr McMurray and his staff CARE about each patient and treat everyone with compassion and respect. After you’ve been once, Star, the Office Manager, will treat you like her own family! Independent dentist office run by dentists, not some corporation with quotas. Look no further! Let McMurray Dentistry take care of your teeth!

My experience at McMurray Dentistry was wonderful from start to finish. Before my appointment, I received several reminders by text, which I appreciated, and the opportunity to submit my insurance information and dental history, which saved time at my appointment. When I walked in, I immediately felt welcomed. The Christian atmosphere and friendliness of the staff was so refreshing. My cleaning was gentle and thorough, and Dr. Camantigue answered all of my questions and concerns after he examined my teeth. It is evident that everyone at McMurray Dentistry cares for their patients and enjoys working together as well. I highly recommend them for all of your dental needs.

This is a GREAT place to go for dental care, the staff is the best and the Doctors are very caring and gentle. I do not like going to the dentist, but Dr. McMurry’s office makes me feel comfortable and welcome with there personable atmosphere and caring staff and doctors. I would recommend this for anyone who has had a bad experience at a dentist office before, this place will change your outlook on going to the dentist. It will make you enjoy getting your cleanings and work done if needed again!! GREAT PLACE AND PEOPLE!!

We had a fantastic experience at McMurray Dentistry! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. The dentist was kind, attentive, and took the time to explain everything clearly. We didn’t have to wait long at all — our appointment started on time and everything went smoothly. It’s so nice to visit an office that truly values their patients’ time and comfort. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dental experience!
